Taylor Whitney

Massage Therapist & Herbalist

Welcome! I'm Taylor Whitney, the founder of Silver Souls.

Silver Souls is based in San Diego offering holistic bodywork sessions and herbal medicine curations.

Massage and herbal medicine have offered some of the most transformational benefits for my own journey. Plants hold signatures that resonate with corresponding signatures in people. When we look beyond using plants merely to treat symptoms and instead connect with them and their constituents, we can understand their deeper messages. The same concept transfers over to massage therapy. The therapist takes the whole individual into account when making a bodywork session. This makes the session holistic.

This idea of holism - parts of a whole are intimately interconnected, such that they cannot exist independently of the whole, and cannot be understood without reference to the whole - is the foundation of my practice.

Palpating and manipulating the tissue through specific massage techniques holds the power to touch the soul through the medium of the body.

What’s holistic bodywork and how do I GET STARTED?

Holistic bodywork is a therapeutic practice that applies manual therapy and subtle energy work techniques to help tissues release, create space, and reduce pain and dysfunctions. The holistic approach takes the whole person into account when creating a session. Some of the techniques I use include trigger point therapy, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, acupressure, cupping, facial massage, ayurvedic treatments, lymphatic drainage, Swedish, Thai, passive/active stretching, and other forms of deep tissue work.

First Session —

In the initial visit, you’ll fill out a health and wellness intake that we will go over together. We’ll discuss pressure preference, areas of discomfort, and create a tailored bodywork session that aligns with your goals.

I offer 60, 75, or 90min sessions.

Follow-Up and Maintenance Sessions —

Every bodywork session following your first visit will be adjusted or maintained depending on your needs. Getting regular massages helps to keep the body subtle, balanced, and in good health. It’s no wonder that almost all ancient wellness practices have massage as a staple in having proper health.
